2.9.13 - Grandma (Oma) Asmus Funeral

My sweet Grandmother (Cornelia Lucia Vande Merwe Asmus)  passed away this week and while it was sad it was nice to know she is re-united with people waiting for her. December 25, 1928 - February 2, 2013.   A couple of my favorite memories are: 1. Nutcracker Ballet - she took me and my cousins when we were visiting UT one winter and I think that is when I first fell in-love with dance. 2. My nickname from her was Kimber-lika 3. We were all her little angels and 4th - Getting a $2 bill for our birthday.  I am sure there are many more memories but this is the top of my list.

After a long day Emma just wanted to read stories with Grandpa Jim.

Favorite moments from the Funeral - Mom-isms - where my aunts said phrases that my Oma always said.  Seeing all of us walk in and sit down. What a legacy my Oma left and we are so blessed.

May I go now? Do you think the time is right? May I say good-bye to pain-filled days And endless lonely nights?
I've lived my life and done my best, An example tried to be.  So can I take that step beyond And set my spirit free?
I didn't want to go at first. I fought with all my might. But something seems to draw me now To a warm and loving light.
I want to go. I really do. It's difficult to stay.  But I will try as best I can To live just one more day.
To give you time to care for me And share your love and dears. I know you're sad and are afraid, Because I see your tears.

1.24.13 - We went to visit my Grandma Asmus. Sure love her.

1.25.13 - Emma is loving Hair Accessories these days.

1.25.13 - Ashley Pritchett Married Austin Hortman.  It was an amazing day at Wheeler Farms in Lindon, UT.  Congratulations to our cute niece and her nice groom.

1.17.13 - Discovery Center, Gateway.  We have a 3 month pass to the Discovery Center and we have so much fun here during the cold winter months.

Jan. 7 - Jan 13., 2013

1.7.13 - While Grandma Lenny was here we all got the flu.  She took care of all of us and then we were so nice to share with her.  Tyler really loved to cuddle and take care of Grandma Lenny

1.11.13 - It is time to move the kids out of toddler beds into full size beds.  They love it.  Transition was really easy and we love that we can cuddle with them and not have to fit on a crib size mattress.

Jan. 1 - Jan 6., 2013

1.3.13 - Tyler had his 1st major boo-boo.  We debated taking him to get stitches but it stopped bleeding pretty quick.  Pretty sure this is the first of many.

1.5.13 - We went to Scheels.  It is crazy in there and the big ferris wheel

 in the middle is a bit nuts.
